Open Public Records Act (OPRA) Request Forms
In 2001, the New Jersey State Legislature passed the Open Public Records Act, establishing that all public records should be made “readily accessible for inspection, copying, or examination by the citizens of this State, with certain exceptions, for the protection of the public interest.” The Government Records Council is the independent agency that oversees compliance to OPRA.
