CAMConnect prepared this summary document for several reasons:

1.  To provide an overview of the current status of redevelopment plans and other efforts that may cause relocation (such as school construction projects)

2.  To provide demographic information on areas deemed in need of redevelopment, and to provide a snapshot of the number of households affected by acquisition plans.

3.  To review the redevelopment planning process required by State law and the City of Camden.

4.  To further explain the typical acquisition process used in Camden.

Redevelopment:  Camden Facts was first distributed at the Alliance for the Revitalization of Camden City Leadership Meeting on Relocation, which took place May 11, 2005 at Rutgers-Camden.  CAMConnect intends to update this summary document at least every three months as the City's redevelopment proceeds.  The next update will be issued by the end of June, 2005.  Please contact CAMConnect if you have any questions about this document.
