Injury Report

CAMConnect is interested in developing neighborhood-level analysis of public health issues in the City of Camden. Most health data is only available at the County or State level. However, using emergency department (ED) discharge data from Cooper Hospital, CAMConnect has been able to determine, by Census tract, the incidence for injuries due to falls, assaults, overexertion, and other factors. This data is relevant for targeting areas of public health concern. For instance, for assaults, the hospital data can be used as a comparison with Police department data to provide another measure of public safety.
