Key Findings:

The 2000 Census is the most accurate and comprehensive source for demographic data about Camden on the citywide and neighborhood level.

2005 and 2006 estimates are available from the US Census Bureau via the American Community Survey. The small sample size of the ACS along with other significant limitations of this data are discussed on page 7.
- Camden has a large young population, with 35% of the population under 18 and 47% under 25 in 2000. The total population of Camden in 2000 was 79,904.

In 2000, 88% of Camden City’s population was either African American or Hispanic, compared to 26% statewide.
